BIOGRAPHY

Chenchen Yan graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and received two bachelor’s degrees in Law and Literature majoring in Business English. She earned her LL.M. degree from Fordham University School of Law majoring in Bank, Corporate, and Finance Law. Currently, she is admitted to practice law before the State of New York.

While Ms. Yan was in China, she completed an internship with Faurecia (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd. as an assistant to Legal Counsel, which allowed her to gain experience in reviewing contracts and performing legal research. Before passing the New York bar examination, she worked at The Kasen Law Firm, PLLC as a paralegal providing support to the work of our attorneys in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury, criminal law, immigration law, civil litigation, divorce, and employment law.

Ms. Yan’s legal practice centers primarily on immigration law, civil practice, and real estate law. Her immigration work includes family-based petitions, removal defense, special immigrant juvenile status, and temporary protected status applications. Her civil practice experience includes landlord/tenant matters; contract review; and pre-litigation civil negotiation. The focus of her real estate experience is residential closings. Ms. Yan has almost eight years of experience working at The Kasen Law Firm, PLLC including as an intern, a paralegal, and now, an attorney. Ms. Yan is fluent in the Mandarin dialect of Chinese and English.
