BIOGRAPHY

Louis Henry Klein has extensive experience in assisting clients in a wide variety of immigration, real estate, criminal, and litigation matters. On a regular basis, he represents individuals before Immigration Courts in New York and throughout the country, as well as before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), fighting tenaciously to obtain immigration relief and legal status for his clients.

Mr. Klein is experienced handling individual merits hearings, appeals, bond hearings, motions to reopen proceedings, and motions to reconsider before the Board of Immigration Appeals and Federal Appellate Circuit Courts, providing clients an opportunity for immigration relief beyond their merits hearings or immigration interview. Mr. Klein’s wide ranging and extensive immigration law experience has allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United States in order to assist individuals, families, and workers with their immigration issues so that they can enjoy the legal benefits of living and working in the United States.

Mr. Klein is also experienced litigating complex personal injury, property damage, construction defect, and other civil law suits.  Mr. Klein has successfully forced insurance companies to pay for claims that they initially refused to honor, and to provide defense and indemnification to their policy holders.  Mr. Klein expertly handles mediations, arbitrations, trials and appeals for many types of civil lawsuits.

Additionally, Mr. Klein is well versed in both New York State and Connecticut criminal practice, and has successfully defended criminal cases throughout those jurisdictions.  Finally, Mr. Klein is experienced with both uncontested divorces, child support and custody issues.

Currently, Mr. Klein is admitted to practice law in the states of New York, and Connecticut.  He is also admitted in to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
